We have taken the decision to postpone this year’s Varsity event, scheduled to take place on Wednesday 25 March.
This is not a decision that has not been taken lightly but faced with a public health event of such magnitude it is important we do all we can to protect the health and wellbeing of the campus community.
We are working closely with Royal Holloway Sport, the University of Surrey, and Surrey Students’ Union to find a new date during Term 3 that will allow the event to take place and will keep you informed about developments related to this.
For now, none of you need to do anything other than let your team mates and coaches know. The following clubs need to do the following:
Swimming – no need for the pre-event on 18th March
Rowing – please cancel the event at Molesey on 25th March
Karting – I believe you had organised a venue, please can you cancel this
This is all the information I have at the moment, we will be in touch with further updates concerning coach refunds and a potential later date to which we can move the event to. We shall keep you updated.
